| Abstract: | Σκοπός της διατριβής ήταν η μελέτη του ονομαστικού της Μακεδονίας από το 1750 έως και το 1900, με έμφαση στην αλλαγή που συντελείται υπό την επίδραση του Διαφωτισμού, στην επανεμφάνιση δηλαδή των αρχαίων ελληνικών ονομάτων. Αφού παρουσιάζουμε την πορεία της ελληνικής ονοματοδοσίας, όπως διαμορφώθηκε με τη διάδοση του χριστιανισμού και την καθιέρωσή του ως επίσημης θρησκείας του βυζαντινού κράτους μεταβαίνουμε στην Ευρώπη, για να δούμε την επαναφορά της αρχαίας ελληνικής ονοματοδοσίας ως αποτέλεσμα των τάσεων της Αναγέννησης, του Διαφωτισμού και της ανακάλυψης της Ελλάδας. Ακολούθως, προβαίνουμε σε μία ιχνηλασία, λεπτομερή και πολύπλευρη, με βασικό συνέκδημο τις πηγές, της επαναφοράς των αρχαίων ελληνικών ονομάτων στο πλαίσιο του Διαφωτισμού. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, αφού περιγράψουμε το πέρασμα στο Διαφωτισμό και στους Νέους Χρόνους για τον ελληνικό κόσμο, παρουσιάζουμε τις απόψεις και τη δράση τόσο των θιασωτών όσο και των επικριτών της αρχαιοελληνικής ονοματοδοσίας. Οι παρατηρήσεις επί των ονομάτων της συλλογής μας βρίσκονται στον τρίτο και στο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο. Στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζουμε, σε γενικές γραμμές, τα αποτελέσματα της καταγραφής και παραβάλλουμε τα πορίσματά μας με τα πορίσματα άλλων ονοματολογικών μελετών. Έμφαση στα αρχαιοελληνικά ονόματα δίνουμε στο δεύτερο υποκεφάλαιο του τρίτου κεφαλαίου. Στο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο παρασύρουμε τον αναγνώστη σε διαδρομές αρχαιωνυμικές… με προορισμό τα εκπαιδευτήρια του 19ου αιώνα, τη θέση της γυναίκας, τη συμφωνία ονόματος και βίου, τη νοσταλγία και τη λησμονιά, στη Βενετία και στο Μοναστήρι. Η εργασία ολοκληρώνεται με τα συμπεράσματα της μελέτης και μια σύντομη ματιά στο μέλλον (α΄ τέταρτο 20ού αιώνα). Το σύνολο των ονομάτων που αλιεύσαμε από τις πηγές βρίσκεται στο παράρτημα της εργασίας, σε δύο αναλυτικούς καταλόγους. Στον πρώτο καταγράφονται μόνο τα αρχαία ελληνικά ονόματα και στον δεύτερο το σύνολο των ονομάτων. Τα αρχαία ελληνικά ονόματα συνοδεύει η ετυμολογία τους, η μυθολογική και η ιστορική τους διάσταση, αλλά και η παραπομπή στις επιγραφές, που πιστοποιούν την παρουσία τους στην αρχαία Ελλάδα, με έμφαση στη Μακεδονία. Σημειωτέα και η παραπομπή στην υστεροβυζαντινή παρουσία ή απουσία του ονόματος. Επεξηγηματικές πληροφορίες προσφέρουμε και για τα υπόλοιπα ονόματα, εφόσον άνευ αυτών η παρουσία και η διάδοσή τους θα παρέμεναν ακατάληπτες.
The purpose of this thesis was the study of the onomastikon (naming) in Macedonia from 1750 up to 1900, with emphasis in the change that takes place, under the influence of Enlightenment, that is to say in the reappearance of the ancient Greek names. After the presentation of the evolution of the Greek naming, as it was shaped by the distribution of Christianity and its establishment as the official religion of the Byzantine state, we return in Europe, in order to see the reintroduction of the ancient Greek naming, as a result of the tendencies of the Renaissance, the Enlightenment and the rediscovery of Greece. Next, we proceed in the detailed and many-sided presentation, through the sources, of the reintroduction of ancient Greek names in the framework of the Greek Enlightenment. In this context, after the description of the passage in the Enlightenment and the Modern Times, for the Greek world, we present the opinions and the action of the supporters and also of the decriers of the ancient Greek naming. In the third and the fourth chapter there are our observations on the names of our collection. In the third chapter we present, in general lines, the results of our collection and we compare our conclusions with the conclusions of other studies. The main subject of the second sub-chapter of the third chapter, is that of the ancient Greek names. In the fourth chapter we take the reader in exploration, which have as destination the schools of 19th century, the position of the women, the relation between the name and the social situation, the nostalgia and the oblivion, in Venice and in Monastery. The thesis end with the conclusion of the study and a short glance in the future (1st quarter of 20th century). The total of the names collected from our sources are found in the annex of the thesis, in two analytical lists. In first list there are only the ancient Greek names and in the second list there are all the names. The ancient Greek names are accompanied by their etymology, their historical dimension and also by their reference in the inscriptions, that certify their presence in ancient Greece, with emphasis in Macedonia. The reference in the post-byzantine presence or absence of each name is also noteworthy. Finally, we should say that we also offer some information in the other names, as without these observations their presence and their distribution would remain inapprehensible. |
